When I watched her video the other day I thought that the very things that made her interesting, and allowed her to grow – her conscience, her ability to own her behaviour, learn from it and grow – was what made her want to withdraw from her channel.

I hope she reconsiders.

I also hope that cancel culture evolves into a more nuanced understanding of human fallibility.

We need to recognise that we can’t use what people did THEN to define the person NOW. We must allow people to grow and we must recognise that growth. If we don’t, then we are the bigots. And if we take away the incentive to grow, then nobody will want to change for the better.
