I agree with you. I watched a few episodes and it just didn’t inspire me to continue.

I felt like it was a remake of something I’d seen before but couldn’t quite place – one of those remakes that’s not as good as the original.

It felt like it was trying too hard – like a slightly needy acquaintance wanting to be my friend NOW, not realising we’d get there eventually.

I’m fully aware that I’m often out of sync with the zeitgeist – I haven’t seen Game Of Thrones, and I loved Northern Exposure when everyone else was talking about Twin Peaks. But I also know I have excellent taste in trashy TV.
