That’s a bit of a thin telling of the Olympus tale. The coverup was of past financial losses, a secret loan to keep the company afloat in light of those losses and paying inflated prices every time Olympus took over another company so some money could be siphoned off to pay the loan.

At the time the fraud was exposed, the company was highly profitable.

Michael Woodford was not involved in the coverup. He was the whistleblower who exposed it.
