As an outsider, watching the nonsense going on in the USA with people protesting lockdowns and refusing to wear masks, just boggles my mind.

What is wrong with people? These rules and guidelines exist to protect them – including those who are protesting. They have been sucked into a culture war against sound medical advice. It’s as if it’s a conspiracy to drive stupid people towards infection and possible death.

I have never felt more glad to be in Australia, where we listened to the advice of scientists and government. As a result, my state has had only one new case of COVID-19 overnight, nobody has to wear a mask outside of restaurant kitchens and medical facilities and our kids are heading back to school.
